eVintage Blog Tag- Prints Charming

Time for more eVintage Blog Tag. Ang at Vintage or Bust! has tagged me to talk about prints.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PRINT OFFERED IN YOUR INVENTORY?

I love paisley prints so I'm partial to this gorgeous 70's paisley skirt.

WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF NOVELTY PRINT?

Something quirky and out of the ordinary. No simple floral prints!

MOST AMAZING NOVELTY PRINT YOU’VE EVER SEEN?

Wow, I've seen quite a few that were really killer. Right now I am completely in love with this GORGEOUS vintage 70's koi print Shaheen from Viva Vintage Clothing.

SIZE MATTERS….WHEN WEARING PRINTS, DO YOU PREFER BIG OR SMALL?

Big, small or in between I love em all!

COLOR OR BLACK AND WHITE?

It really depends on my mood, but I generally gravitate towards black and white.

WHAT DESIGNER DOES YOUR FAVORITE PRINTS? (think Shaheen, Pucci, etc)

My hands down favorite is Pucci!

Now get on over to see what Holly at Confessions of a Fashion Diva thinks about prints!

eVintage Blog Tag- I Want Candy!

Ang at the eVintage blog, Vintage or Bust, has tagged me to answer some candy colored questions this week.

1)The colors of CANDY! What’s your favorite candy colored vintage piece in your collection?

This vintage 60's ultra vivid Hawaiian baby-doll mini dress is so sweet it hurts!

vintage 60's vivid floral Hawaiian babydoll mini dress

2)What’s the sweetest accessory you’re offering right now, or if you don’t have one for sale, tell us about one of your own!

This vintage chunky marbled orange bead necklace really does look good enough to eat!

3) Sweet tooth? What’s your favorite candy?

I'm not picky when it comes to candy...anything chocolate will do!

4)Ice cream…..chocolate or strawberry, and why?

I recently discovered that Dairy Queen has created a truly beautiful thing called the chocolate covered strawberry waffle bowl sunday. I'm hooked!

5) “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, classic film or Johnny Depp re-make….and why?

I think the Johnny Depp re-make had a lot of potential and was truer to the original story, but having grown up loving the original I can't help but prefer it.

6)Is your personal style sweet or salty? Explain!

Salty punk with a dash of girlish sweetness!

Now let's head over to Confessions of a Fashion Diva to see what Holly has to say!

eVintage Blog Tag - Maxed Out!

This week eVintage is talking about maxi dresses. I've been tagged by Ang at Vintage or Bust to answer a few questions.

MAXI OR PATIO DRESS, AND WHY?

Lately designers have taken to calling maxi dresses a patio dress. I suppose they think it sounds better. I personally don't have a preference, though "patio dress" does make me think happy thoughts of drinks with friends on the patio!

FAVORITE MAXI DRESS IN YOUR INVENTORY?

This gorgeous vintage 70's boho maxi. It's so beautifully made with smocking at the bodice, belled sleeves and yummy lace trim.

AS A TREND, WILL IT BE A HIT OR A MISS?

For those who are tall and thin it's sure to be a hit!

DO YOU WEAR MAXI DRESSES OR SKIRTS?

I so wish I could! However I'm 5' 4" and not exactly "thin" so it's not the most flattering look for me.

PROS AND CONS?

I'm thrilled that the maxi look is back in as there are some really amazing vintage maxi dresses out there (particularly from the 70's) that deserve to be seen again! However there are also some reallllly fugggly vintage maxi's out there that will only survive by being hemmed up to minis!

Now hop on over to see what Holly at Confessions of a Fashion Diva has to say about the maxi dress!

Music Fix- New Order

I adore New Order! Members of Joy Division, Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook and Stephen Morris formed New Order in 1980 after the suicide of Joy Division singer, Ian Curtis. Gillian Gilbert became a member soon after their formation. This is 1983's "Blue Monday". Let's Dance!

eVintage Blog Tag- Mad Men or Mod?

Time again for a round of eVintage Blog Tag! Ang has tagged me from the Vintage or Bust blog to talk about the 60's.

MOD OR MAD MEN?

I love both looks, but I'd have to say I'm a bit more of a mod girl.

FAVE PIECE IN YOUR INVENTORY FITTING THE BILL?

Although I'm not a huge fan of orange I can't help but love the colors and big bold graphic print on this very mod 60's dress. I love it so much I had to post about it twice!

ICONIC EARLY 60s STARLET?

Sophia Loren

LATE 60’s?

Edie Sedgwick

SINATRA OR THE SWINGIN’ 60s SCENE?

Ahhh! That's tough!!! I adore Sinatra, but again I think I'd have to go with the swingin' late 60's.

Now hop on over to see what Holly has to say at Confessions of a Fashion Diva.

eVintage Blog Tag- VLV!

This week I've been tagged by Ang at Vintage or Bust! to answer some questions about Viva Las Vegas for eVintage blog tag.

FAVORITE ROCKABILLY LOOK PIECE IN YOUR INVENTORY?

Currently I don't have much to offer that is VLV worthy, but I do really love this vintage 80's version of a 50's shirtwaist dress available now in our store.

DO YOU WEAR THE ROCKABILLY LOOK AT ALL?

Just a little here and there. I actually prefer the more punk influenced look of psychobilly to rockabilly.

CRUCIAL ROCKABILLY VINTAGE ACCESSORY FOR GIRLS?

Anything leopard print!

FOR GUYS?

Flashy belt buckles.

PERSONAL STYLE. SANDY OR RIZZO?

Waaaay more Rizzo. I prefer tight fitting dresses and jeans (more often jeans!) to the fluffy good girl dresses.

AGE OLD QUESTION….ELVIS OR THE BEATLES?

Hmmm, I'll take Carl Perkins over either one of em!

Now head over to see Holly at Confessions of a Fashion Diva to get her take on VLV.
